Moulton College to start unique Masters in Equine Behaviour and WelfareFrom September 2010*, Moulton College will be offering the first ever MSc in Equine Behaviour and Welfare. However students graduating from degree courses may not be aware of the options to study In conjunction with the Animal Welfare department, the MSc in Equine Behaviour and Welfare will be unique in its specialism of behavioural science, ethics and welfare in relation to horses. Studying equine behaviour and welfare at Masters Level will allow students to concentrate on specific areas of emerging equine science, have access to scientific conferences and analyse scientific journal material. They will also be able to research a specific area that interests them and have the opportunity to complete a research project which, if suitable, can be put forward for general publication. The Masters course is a real opportunity for those who enjoy study to really focus and improve their academic skills and the excellent equine facilities at Moulton College, including the equine therapy centre which has recently been approved by the British Racehorse Authority, will allow research into highly specialised areas of behaviour and welfare assessment.
