1) Protect yourself and your horse
In the unfortunate event of your horse being lost, stolen or going missing on loan, NED can immediately help you through its UK-wide lost/stolen register. This has already helped many owners recover their lost/stolen animals and if you have a look on the website, you’ll see the stories.

2) Don’t forget your horse’s important dates
You can now set up details of your horse’s regular treatments on NED - whether its vaccinations, dental treatment, worming or a new set of shoes. Key these into NED and you’ll get an automatic reminder.

3) Unlimited reports on your own horses
NED offers a range of reports on all horses including pedigree information, progeny details or life-time performance across all major competition disciplines. These reports change over time as NED gets updates from a wide range of partners. Now, you can get unlimited access to reports on horses you are associated with.

What to do: step-by-step
1) Find your horse on NED and check that the basic information provided to NED by your passport issuer is correct, complete and up-to-date

2) Associate yourself with your horse by clicking on "associate yourself with this equine"

3) Check that all your horse’s security identifiers are correctly recorded; if a freezemark or microchip number is missing you can add it yourself

4) Upload a clear photo and a detailed description of your horse

5) Set up reminders for all those important equine dates - vaccinations, dental, saddler, worming or farrier

6) See what reports are currently available for your horse. If there are any, you’ll be automatically offered the option of unlimited access for as long as you’re associated with that horse. Remember that NED receives regular data updates from all its partners so both the quantity and content of available reports will change over time, this option allows you to re-run and refresh your copy of the available reports as often as you like.
