During 2009 Equitherm teamed up with the BSJA, BEF, BHS and the FEI with the objective of improving the health and well-being of all horses in competitive and non-competitive disciplines.

The advanced technology not only monitors your horses physical state non-intrusively, it also ensures programmes of rehabilitation, training and performance are effective, well managed and pro-active.

The Equitherm team consists of vets, scientists and equine professionals who work to identify and monitor the equines' thermal patterns.

Where there is asymmetry or irregularity there is reason to investigate further.

From Science comes Art

While Equine Thermography was created to monitor the equines physical state, Sandie Chambers 'Director of Training and Development' for Equitherm has produced the most beautiful images of the Equine in a unique way that normally the naked eye would not see.

Traditional forms of art were designed to be beautiful and pleasurable, while contemporary art is designed to be interesting, challenging and thought provoking. Sandie Chambers has managed to combine traditional and contemporary photography to create the most beautiful masterpieces ever seen in equine photographic art.

Sandie Says " We have developed our own pallets that are unique to us and not available anywhere else in the world. Our art sees and measures the thermal energy radiating from its subject and our cameras pick up the light that is not visible to the naked eye. This is because its wavelength is too long to be detected by the human eye. Our photography is unique, no two images are the same, even when we take a picture of the same subject, its colours will change in a moment as the temperature of the object fluctuates. The images are thought provoking, mesmerising, beautiful and unique."

If you wish to have your horses imaged in this unique way or look through the portfolio to choose that special gift then you can contact Sandie on 07957 529 570 or go to contact us to discuss your requirements or book an appointment.
