Lucinda was on a particular high, as the previous day she won the overall championship at the Equivet X-factor dressage to music challenge on her own horse ‘What a Boy’.  On Saturday there was a positive turn out for the lecture-demo, despite the worst weather we’ve seen for a long time!

Lucinda initially worked with a three-year-old horse bred at the College stud, Lordship’s Wandango (Smarty), who has recently been backed by a group of Higher Education (HE) equine students.  She then worked with an older College horse, Rudi, and one of the National Diploma year 2 students Ross Crisp.  On Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday staff and members of the public had individual lessons with Lucinda which spectators were welcome to watch.  The whole weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all, including the horses!

Event organiser Tracy Mann said: “The event was a huge success and Lucinda worked very hard to ensure that she accommodated everyone who wanted a lesson.  The feedback from those who had lessons was extremely positive and we've already had several requests for Lucinda to come back, both from those who had a lesson and those who watched the demo and are now wanting lessons.

Lucinda has a great empathy for both horse and rider and is happy to teach clients at all levels, from beginners to advanced.”
