Myerscough Equine Scientific Symposium: 18th February 2009

The event has been designed to link equine research with the latest industry developments and this years theme is “Bridging Science and Industry”. The symposium will feature presentations from the following renowned equine specialists:

  • Dr Debbie Archer (University of Liverpool) -  Equine Colic
  • Dr Sarah Hobbs (University of Central Lancashire)- 3D motion analysis
  • Mr Andrew Hemmings (Royal Agricultural College) - Equine stereotypies
  • Professor Derek Knottenbelt (University of Liverpool)- Sarcoid research
  • Dr David Marlin (Senior consultant in human and animal physiology and biochemistry) - Transportation and its effect on horses
  • Dr Jack Murphy (University College Dublin) - The use of weighted boots in training 
     

The previous two symposia have proved to be outstanding successes, with more than 300 delegates attending from all over the UK. The event is ideally suited to equine students, industry professionals and anyone with a keen interest in horses.

Tickets cost £25 (£18 for students) and there are reductions for group bookings. The price includes tea, coffee and symposium proceedings.
