On the 1st March 2008, the second year National Diploma students in WalfordCollege organised a show jumping competition for the equine students. The day was considered a huge success with many clear rounds and only a couple of falls. Izzy Broxton came 1st on Timmy, closely followed by Jon Hull on Mac, Jemma Lewis on Mac 3rd and Rachel Weaver on Knight 4th.
The Lambing Weekend was held on Sunday 16th March, inviting the general public to visit Walford Campus to see the animals on the college farm and the small animal care centre. The equine department put on a series of display rides, including a Pairs Musical Dressage Test, an individual dressage test, lunging and finally a Musical Drill ride - all performed and orgainsed by the first year students. The second year students arranged games, easter egg treasure hunts and colouring for the children.
