Written by Hugh Morshead, a respected FEI course designer with over twenty five years experience, this guide offers a practical, no-nonsense approach to designing and building cost-effective cross-country fences and courses at all levels. The hard-back, full colour book is endorsed by Ginny Elliot, Hugh Thomas and Ian Stark, with the foreword written by Captain Mark Phillips.

Clearly laid out, this book makes a useful reference manual and would be of particular interest to course builders/designers, as well as to riders who compete across country.

Chapters include: Reading the Land, Designing the Course, Cost-Effective Design, Portable Fences, Water Jumps to name but a few. This guide really is as comprehensive as it gets without seeming daunting. It's written with humour and the language is not overly-technical, making it a pleasure to read. It provides a real insight and having read the book, I feel inspired to have a go. Well presented, well written and inspirational!
